Terms & Conditions.

Please read these terms carefully before using our services.

SECTION 01

The basics

Using Cerebrum means you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

"Cerebrum," "we," and "our" refer to the operator of cerebrumiq.com. "You" refers to anyone - individual or entity - who accesses or uses the Service. A "Subscription" is a recurring paid plan; a "Trial" is the seven-day introductory period available for a one-time charge of $1.00; a "Billing Cycle" is how often your plan renews (weekly, monthly, or quarterly).

Where we use the phrase "events outside our reasonable control," we mean things like natural disasters, armed conflict, government orders, widespread internet or power outages, pandemics, and cyberattacks - situations where performance of the Service is delayed or prevented through no fault of ours.

SECTION 02

Eligibility

You must be at least eighteen years old and of legal contract-forming age where you live. We may ask you to verify your age. You agree to keep one account, to give us accurate information at sign-up, to keep your login credentials safe, and to tell us promptly if someone accesses your account without permission. Accounts that stay inactive for an extended period may be closed; we'll try to give you notice first.

SECTION 03

What Cerebrum actually is (and isn't)

Cerebrum is an educational-entertainment product. The IQ test, the training exercises, and the scores are designed for personal interest and self-directed cognitive training - they are not a clinical assessment, they are not a diagnostic tool, and they should not be relied upon for academic, professional, or medical decisions.

Results can be affected by environmental, technical, and personal factors on any given day and may not reflect actual intelligence or cognitive ability. The training content is based on general cognitive-exercise principles; effectiveness has not been independently validated, individual results vary, and progress inside the product may not translate to measurable real-world cognitive change. For a clinical assessment, please see a qualified professional.

You use the Service at your own risk.

SECTION 04

Subscriptions and billing

How sign-up works. When you start a Trial, we authorize your card for one dollar ($1.00). The Trial gives you seven days of full premium access. On day eight, the plan you selected at sign-up starts at its standard rate and bills on its regular cycle - weekly, monthly, or quarterly. Only one Trial per user is available.

Standard plans (base pricing in US dollars).

  • Weekly: Basic $9.99, Premium $14.99
  • Monthly: Promotional $14.99, Standard $29.99
  • Quarterly: Premium Quarterly $39.99

The checkout page always shows your actual regional price before you confirm - that is the price we charge. Your final rate depends on the country you are signing up from, any current promotion, taxes that apply, and currency conversion.

How renewals work. Subscriptions renew automatically at the rate you agreed to at sign-up, until you cancel. If we ever change a subscription price, the change applies only to new subscribers - your existing price is locked. Payments are processed through PCI-DSS-compliant providers. If a payment fails, we retry over thirty days; if it is still unpaid we may suspend the account. Your bank's fees for declined payments are yours to cover.

How to cancel. You can cancel any time - from the Self-Service Portal, through the Help Center, or by emailing support. When you cancel, your current billing cycle runs to its end and then stops; we do not charge you again. We do not refund the unused portion of a cycle that has already been billed (see Section 5). Reactivation is available later at whatever the current rate is.

SECTION 05

Refunds

Trial refunds. You can get your $1.00 Trial fee back within thirty days if this is your first Trial on Cerebrum, you haven't had a Trial refund before on any account, your account is in good standing, and you send the request through one of our official channels.

Subscription refunds. Outside the Trial window, we issue refunds only in specific situations: verified service unavailability that isn't scheduled maintenance or an event outside our reasonable control; a platform bug preventing core feature access that you report within thirty days and that our team confirms; a billing error (duplicate charges, wrong amount, unauthorized transaction); or where the law where you live requires it. If you didn't use the Service at all during a billing period, email us and we will review it.

Cases that aren't eligible for a refund: time you didn't use after you cancelled; plan downgrades; brief maintenance windows; a change of mind; or a charge that resulted from not cancelling before your renewal date.

How to submit a refund request. Open a ticket in the Help Center, use the Self-Service Portal, or email [email protected]. Include your account email, the transaction detail, the reason, and any supporting documentation. Processing typically takes three business days. Refunds go back to the original payment method only.

SECTION 06

Your license and your content

Everything that makes up the Cerebrum platform - the assessments, the training curriculum, the certificates, the brand - belongs to us or to our licensors and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and related laws. Your subscription gives you a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of any platform content.

What you submit - your profile, your test responses, anything you upload - stays yours. In return for using the Service, you grant Cerebrum a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, transferable license to use that content for displaying, optimizing, analyzing, and otherwise operating and improving the Service. You agree not to submit content that infringes someone else's copyright or trademark, that contains malicious code, that is harmful or deceptive, or that is otherwise inappropriate.

SECTION 07

What we do not promise (limitation of liability)

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We aren't liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages - including lost profits, lost data, the accuracy of any test score, or the effectiveness of any training program - regardless of the theory of liability and even if the possibility of such damages was known. Some jurisdictions don't allow some of these limitations; where that's the case, the limitations apply to the maximum extent the law permits.

You agree to indemnify and hold Cerebrum harmless from claims, losses, and expenses that arise from the way you use the Service, from content you submit, from your violation of these terms, or from your infringement of someone else's rights.

SECTION 08

How disputes are resolved

Try informal resolution first. If a dispute comes up, contact us. We will make a good-faith effort to resolve it through direct communication within thirty days.

If informal resolution fails - binding arbitration. Any dispute that isn't resolved informally is resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules, before a single arbitrator. Filing fees and the arbitrator's fees are split equally; each side pays its own lawyers' fees.

Class-action waiver. You and Cerebrum each waive the right to bring or participate in a class action, a class-wide arbitration, or a consolidated proceeding. Every dispute is resolved individually and only individual remedies are available.

Exceptions - these can still go to court. Claims over intellectual property (copyright, trademark, patent, or trade secret); matters small enough for small-claims court, brought in your individual capacity; and requests for emergency or injunctive relief to prevent immediate harm.

Time limit. Any claim must be filed within six months of the event that gave rise to it. After that, it is time-barred.

Governing law and venue. These Terms, and any dispute between you and Cerebrum, are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Lawsuits that do go to court must be filed in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and by using the Service you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

SECTION 09

Changes, suspension, and ending the agreement

Changes to the Service and to these terms. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service. For changes to these terms that materially affect your rights, we give you at least fifteen days' notice by email before they take effect; emergency changes driven by security, legal compliance, or events outside our reasonable control may apply immediately. Routine changes - UI tweaks, performance improvements, new features - can happen without advance notice. If you disagree with a material change you can cancel before it takes effect; if you keep using the Service after it does, you accept the new version.

Closing your account on your side. You can close your account at any time - from the Self-Service Portal, from the Help Center, or by emailing support. There's no termination fee. Your current billing cycle runs to its end without a refund for the remaining days.

Closing your account on our side. We may suspend or close an account for repeated or serious violations of these terms, for use that is illegal, or for activity that threatens other users or the Service.

What happens after closure. Access stops immediately. Your content is archived for a limited period and then permanently deleted. Account data is retained only where the law requires it. Any remaining credit balance is refunded to the original payment method.
